Carcass of shame

And so suddenly it was hacked away
my imagination, hope and love
no sooner than it arrived
in the frailties of my times

The bickering hiccups of bitterness
deep down in the abyss
of my cob-webbed cherishes
dance like shadows of mirages

I hear the shrill and the cry
of martyrdom that be thy lord
in the temple of the heart
and the knell of your will

May truth be the carcass of shame
bequeath your posterity naught
for this will alone will live
beyond this body and the mind it holds
