Silhouetted love

The night was dark
in a moonlit park
With stars in envy
there stood she

he tripped o'er her shadow
eyes alight in fond glow
like a deer in a floodlight
entranced with pure delight

He saw eternity in a second
timelessness his heart beckoned
every twitch he tried to fend
what if they ruffled the moment

swamped with unknown magic
defying all forms of logic
she relented to him that night
and so the silhouettes unite
